Alder St., died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born in Scotts Bluff, Iowa, and came to Tacoma from Denver three years ago. Mr. Hackett was a retired employee of the Burlington Railroad. He was a member of the Christian Church; Alliance Lodge, F&AM, and the Scottish Rite Bodies in Alliance, Neb.; El Jebel Temple of the Shrine, in Denver; and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Surviving are his wife, Grace; and a brother Lee Hackett. Services will be announced by the Mountain View Funeral Home. Additional Comments: [Roy Hackett was born in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa on August 16, 1884. He was the son of John Edmund HARWOOD-HACKETT and Patience Adell (Dell) LEVERICH. Like his father John, he made a life-career working with the railroad. Roy was the last of his immediate family (parents, sister, and four brothers); his brother Lee, had died in 1959 in another State. Roy was first married to Mrs. Mary C. Jane (CARROLL) BRODERICK in Alliance, Nebraska. At her death in 1947, he removed to Denver.
