Badham June 30 1968-Aug 16 2005 Additional Comments: Back-We love you Daddy with their names Britt Allen Badham 1968 – 2005 Britt was an extraordinary man who, for 3 years, battled brain cancer with unmatched courage, strength and humor. He viewed brain cancer as an OPPORTUNITY : to share his faith and life experience with those whose paths he crossed. His spirit was a bright light and inspiration to everyone. He fought the odds valiantly until his death on August 16, 2005. Britt's presence on this earth left an indelible mark on our hearts and his memory will be an eternal flame in our souls. His life was not measured in years, but rather in OPPORTUNITIES realized and God's purpose fulfilled. With a smile on her face, MacKenzie (9) described her dad as "cool, fun and amazing," while Nathan (4) proclaims, "Heaven is a pretty great place to be." May comfort always be found in knowing their dad's loving spirit is only a heartbeat away. Britt was born to Richard and Sandy Badham on June 30, 1968 in Puyallup, WA. He spent the majority of his 37 years living in Puyallup, attending Fruitland Elementary, Kalles Jr. High and Rogers High School (1987). Britt was well known for his love for soccer. Pierce and Bellevue Community Colleges as well as Whitworth University were fortunate to have his outstanding talent representing them. He also shared his soccer skills and integrity by coaching for Rogers High School, Fife High School and Skyhawks Soccer Camps, forever impacting the lives of hundreds of local youth. An Adidas tattoo adorned his right arm. Hiking, racing and blazing bonfires were a few of the activities that fueled Britt's inner child. Britt was a dedicated and respected employee for over 15 years in many roles at Milgard i n Fife, WA. His true love, however, was for his family and was an example for many. He and his wife Julie spent 14 years of marriage creating a lifetime of memories. Britt adored his children, MacKenzie and Nathan. They are a daily reminder of his energetic and fun-loving personality. Britt's sister Allison Mattich and her husband Tom played a huge role in caring for Britt and his family the past 2 years. Tom Mattich was not only Britt's brother-in-law but also his best friend. Britt's sister Dori Alpert and her husband Tom provided invaluable support and love during his illness. Alexandria, Isaac a nd Samantha Mattich, Britt's nieces and nephew, thought the world of Uncle Britt, and held a very special place in his heart. Britt was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his niece Audrey Alpert. Remaining inspired by his courage and faith are his loving in-laws Jim and Annette Hazlett, godmother Carol Lincoln, aunts and uncles Bob & Jar Badham, Carolyn Thompson, Larry & Judi Miller, cousins Todd, Doug, Kent, Courtney and their families, along with many friends he appreciated more than words could say. Special appreciation and gratitude to the University of Washington Medical Center, Dr. Daniel Silbergeld, Dr. Alexander Spence, their staff, as well as the nursing teams in ICU and 4 NE, along with Dr. Randy Sorum, as well as everyone at Good Samaritan Home Health and Hospice. Your medical expertise and compassion have eased the way through this difficult and lengthy journey.
