Sam Vrooman's children, who have been sick for the last three weeks, are now much improved. Dr.Loundagin has concluded to move to Dayton,Wash., in the hope that his health may be improved. The Civic Improvement League will meet with Mrs.H.McMasters on Tuesday,March 2d. A good attendance desired. Mr. and Mrs. Walter C.Anderson entertained a number of their friends at cards one evening last week. All enjoyed the occasion heartily. Mr. and Lexi Smith are having a Dutch kitchen constructed in his Oak Park residence. The contract for the work was let to Messrs. Asher & Due. Mr. and Mrs. E.E.Lindsay's little boy is suffering from an abscess in one of the glands of the neck, the result of a severe cold, and has been confined to his bed for several days. Mrs.Chas.Johnson, who was recently operated upon for appendicitis, is still in St.Joseph's Hospital,Vancouver, but is getting along very nicely and will be home in the near future. A consignment of prune trees was shipped to McMinnville,Ore.,by Frank Payne of Grass Valley on Tuesday. The trees are about the last from a nursery that contained approximatey 20,000 in all. Twin girls were born on the 19th inst at Lexington,Ore., to Mrs. R.Snider, nee Mabel Brown of this city. Mrs.Snider resided here for fifteen years and will be remembered by many Camas people. Nick Morris, who,withhis brother, conducts the Prune Hill Dairy Ranch, was in town yesterday. Their farm is long known as the Chappell place, and is a productive one. The brothers have some fine thoroughbreds and just now they have osme heifers for sale. Mr.and Mrs. J.W.Duvall most delightfully entertained a number of friends at Five Hundred Saturday evening.Most delicious refreshments were served, after which prizes were awarded to the winners. Everyone present voted the host and hostess royal entertainers.
