J.E.Rick is busy sowing grain and doing his spring work. Miss Beatrice Sill, of Fruit Acres, on the River road, was a guest of Mrs. J.E.Rick Sunday. Mr.Miles of Vancouer, who owns 20 acres on the Hill, was here Sunday and stopped over with mrs. Dunbar. Don Rick was seen on the road Saturday with his new colt hitched up to a spring wagon, the first time it ever had a harness on. He drove to Fisher's Landing and home,.Don is quite proud of his new team. A grand oarty at the home of J.W.Beveridge was given by Miss hazel Beveridge Saturday evening for the young people of Prune Hill, Mill Plain and Fisher. Games were playedand some fine piano selections were rendered by Miss Emily Webber,Miss Hazel Beveridge and Miss Elsie Aylward, after which, a fine supper was served, followed with more games and the Virginia Reel. The party broke up about one o'clock, eeryone having enjoyed themselves.Those present were the Misses Emily Webber,Beatrice Sill,Arvidson,Elsie Aylward,Myra Powell,Marjorie Sill,Mrie Wilmes,Messrs. H.J.Powell,C.E.Scotton,D.W.Rick,Jack Arvidson.Frank Boyd,Carl Anderson,Fred Aylward,Willard Timmons,Gordon Adkins,Willard Allen,Billy Wilmes and Roy English.
