Instant of chronic diabetes; burial at Harwood Cemetery on Wednesday. He was the father of Mrs. Norgar and lived in Ontario, Canada. Rev. Jones conducted the funeral. Mr. and Mr. Rev. E. House of Seattle were up to attend the funeral of Knute Bendickson. Mrs. House is the daughter of the deceased. Additional Comments: Knut was born in Vestre Slidre, Oppland, Norway. He emigrated to Wisconsin in 1870 and married Barbra Nilsdatter Saelid in 1871. Knut had gained some renown in playing the Hardanger Fiddle (A Norwegian Violin). From Wisconsin they moved to Minnesota. They had 6 children: Ida, Christine, Caroline, Bennet, Knut and Nellie. Most of these children moved to Washington in the early 1900's. Barbra remained in Minnesota when Knut moved to Washington. Instead of "Mr. and Mr. Rev. E. House" the obituary should read, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. House. Knut is buried in the Arlington Municipal Cemetery, Snohomish Co. (formerly Harwood Cemetery) next to his daughter, Ida Norgar.
