James J. Harrison, 79, of Stanwood, Washington, died on February, 11 2008, at 
Cascade Hospital, in Arlington, WA, from complications of a stroke. James was 
born in Caldwell, Kansas, September 27, 1928.

He moved to Washington state in 1968, while working for the Boeing company, as a 
senior manager of production engineering, retiring after 45 years. After 
retirement, Jim and Doris settled in the Arlington area and opened the Arlington 
Book Store and Coin Shop. After selling the store due to health issues, they 
moved to the Stanwood area to be closer to family.
James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris Harrison; brother, William D. 
Harrison; sisters, Delores Boles and Gloria (LeRoy) Venn, all of Wichita, 
Kansas; children, Pamela (Royce) Hagerman; Mary (John) Anderson; Terry Yarbrough 
and Darrel Yarbrough; James Randall Harrison, and Mary Harrison; 11 
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

James was a life long member of the Masonic lodge.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cascade Hospital CCU unit, for their 
caring help in making Jim's last days comfortable.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February, 16, 2008, at 
Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, in Stanwood, WA.

Inurnment will be at Anderson Cemetery in Stanwood, WA.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood, WA.
