Lorraine was born November 29, 1926 in Toronto, Canada to Frank and Grace Simmons. Her parents were from England, and moved to Toronto, Canada and in 1965 Lorraine moved her family to the States. Lorraine loved humor and involved everyone she knew in it. She loved to shop, walk, loved her music and loved working in the yard, planting the different flowers, playing darts and shuffleboard. O.K. she loooved playing the slot machines and was lucky at it. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Cards with her girl friends at Rose Creek in Arlington, Washington. Mostly what she liked to do was spend time with her husband Lee. She called him. "A Diamond in the Rough". Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Grace Simmons; daughter, Sheila Rose Peria; and her brother, Doug Simmons. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Lee; sister, Betty (George) Giogrande; brothers, Bill and Ted Simmons; daughters, Gerri (Gary) Hadley, Shirley (Gary) Bernier, Kathleen Matkins, and Wendy (Roger) Roll; son, John Peria, of Bishop, California; grandchildren; Caleb Minaberry, Monroe, Washington, Ryan Bernier, Ogdon, Utah, Misty Bernier, Silver Lake, Washington, April Slizelaski, Sandy, Utah, Bobby-Joe, Moberly, Lusk, Wyoming, Brian Hadaway, Sultan, Washington, Kari Revis, Abu-Dhabi, and Kasee Heinz, Spokane, Washington; also six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, January 11, 2007, at Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Stanwood, Washington. Private Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery. Following the services a fellowship will be held at the Stanwood, Eagles. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood, Washington.
