Fowler, Pioneer, established a trading post and named it Mukilteo, an Indian word for "Good Camping Ground." He was head of the first family and with Morris H. Frost, his partner, claimd (sic)as homestead the original area of the Town of Mukilteo. He was the first Co. Auditor, first Judge, first Mukilteo Postmaster and first Notary Public.
