All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/wa/wafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com December 21, 2007, 6:56 am Oregonian December 4,1892 The Remains Taken In Charge Olympia,Wash-Dec.3-A telegram received here from Colonel Augustus Boyd,of Philadelphia,the father of the late Thomas Henderson Boyd,states that he had wired E.T.Dunning,of Tacoma,to purchase a cememtary lot for his son's buril,A delegation from the Olympia lodge of the Elks,iin which the deceased belonged,went to Seattle today to take charge of the remains,and the lodge wired its representatives tonight to bring the remains to this cty or internment here.The tragedy produced a profound sensation here and has been the one subject of conversation throughout the city today.It was the most astounding occurrence that has stirred the city for years.but few people here were aware of Boyd's relation with his burderess,and the disclosure was intensely surprising.
