Drowned Off Hoquiam Wharf
Hoquiam,Wash.Nov 2-(Special)-Claude Hartman,a 17 year old boy,was drowned last 
night by falling from the wharf into the water at the Gray's harbor 
mill,George M.Lamping,proprietor of the New York Hotel,accompanied by the 
boy,who was employed in the hotel,started out to search for a wheel which they 
missed.They proceeded to the Gray's Harbr Lumber Company's wharf.Mr.Lamping 
had a lantern,it being very dark,and on going round a pile of lumber,Hartman 
missed his footing and fell into the water wher ehe sank before help could 
reach him.
