Vera Loretta Olmsted, 86, of Denver, Colo., died March 4, 2006. 

She was born June 20, 1919, in Washugal, Wash., to Willie and Estella Blake. 

She married Francis M. Olmsted June 26, 1938. He preceded her in death in 2001. 

Mrs. Olmsted lived in Altona, Wash., and Skamokawa before settling in Cathlamet 
from 1950 to 1996, when she moved to Longview. From 1998 to 2000, she lived in 
Phoenix, Ariz., before moving to Aurora, Colo., and finally Denver in 2004. 

She taught elementary school at the Kelso-Longview Adventist School for 18 
years and was an administer at Cottonwood Lodge for 22 years. 

Mrs. Olmsted is survived by four children, Malcolm Olmsted, Merlene Olmsted, 
Keith Olmsted and Alden Olmsted; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Seventh-day Adventist 
Church in Cathlamet. Light refreshments will follow at the church. Inurnment 
will take place at Cathlamet Cemetery.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Horan & McConaty Funeral
