Donald D. Pavola, 83, of Spokane died March 16, 2006. 

He was born April 28, 1922, in La Center, Wash., to David and Fiina (Isojarvi) 
Pavola. 

Mr. Pavola served in the Merchant Marines. He operated a tug boat and worked 
for Weyerhaeuser Co. in Longview, California, New Jersey and Korea. 

He is survived by a daughter, Sandi Wendling; a sister, Viola Stenlund; a 
stepson; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and 
nephews. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. 

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Spokane Cremation and Burial 
Service.
