Mrs. Watson had been ill but a few days and only her intimate friends had learned of her condition. Death was due to an attack of peritonitis. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed but it will probably be held Thursday under the direction of the Christian alliance. Mrs. Watson, with her husband and children has been a resident of this county since 1892, having moved here from Bellingham. She was a native of Harlem Center, Ill., and was 59 years of age. She was married to Mr. Watson in Illinois and in 1869 they moved to Kansas where they resided a number of years. Later they moved to Missouri, and afterwards came to Washington. Besides her husband, Mrs. Watson is survived by four children, Mrs. E. A. Seumnicht of Aberdeen, Miss Hattie Watson of Spokane, Harry Watson, express messenger on the Grays Harbor run, and Charles Watson, also in the railway service. Mrs. Seumnicht and Harry Watson reached their mother's deathbed before she passed away, but Charles did not reach the city until this morning and Miss Watson will be unable to reach the city until this evening. Four sisters also survive Mrs. Watson, one of whom is Mrs. Hattie Houston of Bellingham, the others residing in the East. Mrs. Watson had a wide circle of friends who will mourn her death. Of a kindly and benevolent nature she was interested in many charitable and religious movements. She had assisted in the maintenance of the gospel mission in this city and the work of the Christian alliance. Funeral services will probably be conducted under the auspices of the latter organization.
