Postcard, written on back:  Tono, Washington in 1916.  Per a relative who 
lived there as a young girl (early 1930's), wooden sidewalks were built 
because the roads would become very muddy when it rained (see left side of 
photo).  In family photos, you can see the uneven boarded sidewalks running 
between homes and to outhouses in the back.

Found with possessions of Wilbert Coster Friend (1899-1981).
