Morning Oregonian September 11, 1904
Rockford,Wash.,Sept.10- A 4 year old daughter of James Lane,living five miles 
northeast of here,was burned to death while playing yesterday.She got 
possession of some matches and while in a small building set afire to the 
straw.She succeeded in putting out the fire,but her clothes caught and she ran 
outside and burned to death before assistance reached her.
