The Coroner's inquest today brought out evidence that Simmons scured a heavy rasp from the blacksmith's shop and handed it to Grimmett, after the latter had had a fight with Alexander. An autopsy held over the body of Alexander revealed that Alexander had received a terrible blow which fractured the skull above the right ear for a distance of nearly six inches. Death resulted from hemorrhages in the brain. The verdict of the jury was that he came to his death as the result of a blow from some heavy instrument in the hands of Grimmet.
