Child Given fatal Blow
Hit BY A Stone He Goes To Bed And Expires
Spokane,Wash.,Nov.25-James Shannon, 8 year old son of James Shannon, a railway 
conductor, was fodun dead in his bed by his father last night. A big bruise on 
the temple revealed the cause. The lad was playing marbles yesterday and 
picked up some which were in dispute.
Henry Coons, aged 14, admits that he threw a rocl at the boy, but declares it 
did not striek him,alleging that the little fellow tripped,bumping his head. 
An inquest will be held.
