College Purchases Instrument Made by Roosevlet's Uncle
Whitman College,Walla Walla,Wash.,Sept.20- Whitman College consumnated the 
purchase of the $12,000 Roosevelt pipe organ.It will be set up this Fall in 
Memorial building and be used in chapel services each morning and for 
instruction purposes in the conservatory of music. The oragn was formerly in 
the Cathedral at Louisville,Ky. It is 25 feet high and has 2080 pipes.It is 
one of the best organs ever brought to the Pacific Coast. hilton 
Roosevelt,uncle of President Roosevelt,made the instrument in 1883.
It is expected that it will attract many noted oragnists to Walla Walla for 
organ recitals. President Penrose said: "Few coleges in America have so 
splendid an instruemnt"
