Morning Oregonian October 18,1904
Walla Walla,Wash.,Oct.17- John Manion, a pioneer, is dead following an 
operation to remove over 300 gallstones. Mr. Manion was born in Ireland 76 years 
ago. For many years he was in the Army service, being with James Lane in 
Kansas. He left no children.
