Old Resident Of Garfield Dies Of His Injuries
Garfield,Wash.,Aug.3-(Special)
J.M.Duncan,an old resident of Garfield,was so seriously injured in a runaway 
accident Monday that he died Wednesday.The body arrived here today for 
internment.
Mr.Duncan left here Sunday night for Rosalia and arrived there early Monday.As 
he was getting into the town the team became frightened at a freight train and 
ran away,throwing him out and bruising him badly.The train stopped and the 
trainmen brought him into Rosalia.He went to the hotel,wrote a letter to Ed 
Carpter,of Garfield,about some money matters,then laid down to rest.In a few 
hours he was dead.His death is supposed to have been caused by internal 
injuries.
