Peter O. Bredesen died at his home in Arkdale, Feb. 20th, 1915, after an
illness of several months. The immediate cause was tuberculosis of the
stomach and lungs. Deceased was 57 years and 7 months of age. 

His illness at first did not seem serious and the family felt no anxiety.
In December he returned from La Crosse where he had been taking treatment
in one of the hospitals, and from that time gradually weakened day by day. 

For ten and one half years he has acted as rural mail carrier from the
Arkdale post office with the patience which was one of his characteristics,
striving always to serve his patrons faithfully whatever the condition of
the roads and weather.

A wife and five children, Agnes, Percy, Carl, George and Arthur, are left
to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father.

Funeral services were held February 23, 1915, conducted by Rev. Thvedt. The
body was interred in the United Lutheran cemetery.
