G. BURNHAM, in the town of Jackson, Adams county Wisconsin, March 12th, 1888, Mary A., wife of David BURNHAM, and aged 85 years. Mrs. BURNHAM, whose maiden name was Mary A. GRAVES, was born in Sunderland, Massachusetts, March 10, 1803. On the 31st of December, 1822, she was married to David BURNHAM (who survives her), and they removed to Oneida county New York. In 1831 she united with the Methodist Episcopal church and remained during all her life a consistent member of that organization. The family removed from New York to Walworth county, Wisconsin, in 1844, and from the latter place to Adams county in November, 1855, settling in the town of Jackson. The deceased leaves a son who resides in Nebraska, and a daughter, Mrs. S. T. EMERY, in Kansas, and a son and daughter here in Adams county. Mrs. BURNHAM was an excellent example of the New England woman, possessing great good sense, strong convictions of right and duty, perseverance and energy, coupled with all those attributes that grace and bless the home of the devoted wife and mother.
