GRAHAM ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Central Union [Westfield, Marquette County, Wisconsin], April 28, 1922 In the death of John W. Graham, a good man has gone to his reward. He was born in Carroll county, Ohio, Sept. 22, 1832, and died at his home in Jackson township, Adams county, Wisconsin, April 3, 1922. He is survived by his wife, who has journeyed by his side for over sixty-three years, and seven children, all, except two sons in the west, came from their several homes to be with him and help care for him in his last illness. There are also eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He came with his family to Adams county in 1869 and has ever since made this county his home. In his long and useful life he has held many offices of trust in his town and county. Clean speech, honesty and integrity have been his life's example. As a friend and neighbor John Graham was never found wanting, ever ready to help those in sickness and poverty whatever their trouble might be. Sixty-four years ago he gave his heart to God and became a member of that church of Christ to which faith he has always been loyal. Funeral services were held at his home April 6, conducted by C. L. Milton of Milwaukee. Interment was in the little country cemetery near his home.
