Obituary: Adams County, Wisconsin: Mahala HARRINGTON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Adams County Press [Friendship, Adams Co., WI], Saturday September 15, 1892, Page 5 Column 5 HARRINGTON--Died in Easton, August 31, 1892, Mahala, wife of George HARRINGTON, aged 52 years. Mrs. HARRINGTON was a member of the M. E. Church, and her home was the home of the itinerant (preacher or evangelist) for a good many years. She was always ready and willing to help in the Master's cause. Truly it may be said of her "She hath done what she could." She was a good neighbor and a true friend. Mrs. HARRINGTON has been a great sufferer for a number of years, and for some months was confined to her bed, yet she bore her suffering with Christian patience. One of her greatest trials was that she was unable to attend the house of worship. We miss her but would not call her back for we feel sure she is at rest "beyond the river where the surges cease to roll."
