Obituary: Adams County, Wisconsin: Bertha RAMSEY ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Adams County Press, Saturday August 20, 1899, Page 5 Column 5 One of the largest funerals ever held in this place was that of Mrs. Bertha RAMSEY, wife of Clinton RAMSEY, which took place August 14th. She died August 12th after many weeks of suffering. All that loving hands could do was done to alleviate her suffering, or if possible to save the life of which there was but too little hope. The obsequies were under the auspices of the Royal neighbors, of which she was a member, the sermon being delivered by Rev. Minhaels. The casket and grave was a bed of the most beautiful flowers. She leaves a husband, father, three brothers and three sisters to mourn her loss which have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community. Do not weep so dearest friends For your loved one bright and fair, She is waiting, only waiting, In the Heaven over there.
