WALRATH, August 27, 1891. In this death another of our old residents has passed away. Mr. SCHOFF was born in the town of Brasher, St. Lawrence county, New York, April 15, 1824. In the fall of 1864 he moved to Wisconsin, and bought a home about a mile south of this village. In 1844 he married Miss Mary BEEMAN, and of this union there were thirteen children. After the death of his first wife, he married Mrs. Hannah JOYAL, and of this union there were six children. About four years ago his second wife died, and his failing health forced him to find homes for his younger children, and himself to live with his daughter. Of his children fifteen survive him. Three are in Idaho, three in Iowa, one in California, one in Merrill Wisconsin, and the remainder here.
