George SHEPARD, mention of whose death by being struck by lightning during
the storm on Wednesday of last week, was made in the Press of last week,
was the son of Courtland SHEPARD of Big Flats. he was born in Portage
County, Wisconsin, February 15, 1865, and died March 18, 1903, aged 38
years, 1 month and 3 days.

He is survived by a father, three sisters and two brothers. He had expected
to be married in a few days to Mrs. Mary C. KIEFER of Big Flats, who with
the relatives deeply mourn his loss.

Deceased had been a resident of Adams county for the past six years, and
was an industrious, worthy young man
