SMITH. Mr. SMITH was born at Saratoga, New York, in October, 1818, being in his 74th year at the time of his death. He moved to Wisconsin and settled at Richford, Waushara Co., WI, in 1864. In 1871, he settled in the Town of Richfield, Adams County, where he resided at the time of his death. Mr. SMITH was one of our best citizens, and as a neighbor highly respected. Two sons, John SMITH of Richfield, residing on the old homestead; Frank SMITH, residing at Coloma Station; two daughters, Mrs. Electa J. MANZER; of Oshkosh, Wis.; Mrs. Addie HARTLEY, of Rio; and his wife survive him. His funeral was held at the Congregational church, Coloma, and was largely attended, the writer preaching the funeral sermon. --V. H. Helms
