SOLEY of Arkdale died at the Augustana Hospital at Chicago September 9th. He was born November 15, 1849 in SouSvor, Norway, and came to the United States in 1870. About thirty-seven years ago he bought a farm near Arkdale, where he has lived ever since. On Augsut 12, 1883, he was married to Sinie M. NYHUS, who survives him. He is also survived by seven children: Mrs. Claudina ANDERSON of Minnesota, Mrs. Bella MOCK of Chicago, Herbert, Stanley, Hildah, Earl and Lai. Deceased also leaves one brother, Ole SOLEY and four grandchildren. Mr. SOLEY was of a gentle disposition, a kind husband, father, brother, friend and neighbor. He was one of those quiet, unassuming, modest friends, whom we like to trust and from whom we readily take advice, because they consider everything carefully before they speak. The whole community joins with the relatives in their sorrow and bereavement.
