Obituary: Adams County, Wisconsin: Swan SWANSON ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Friendship Reporter, Thursday February 3, 1921, Page 6 Swan SWANSON, whose death was (briefly) reported in last week's issue, was born in Sweden, January 6th, 1861. At the age of 21 years he came to Chicago, where he resided for many years. On April 30th, 1887, he was united in marriage with Augusta M. CARLSON. This union was blessed with five children. Deceased was a carpenter and worked at his trade in Chicago until the spring of 1917, when he moved to Adams. He was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church. His sudden death on January 26th, has again reminded us of the frailty of our temporal life, and of the great need of every-day living in close fellowship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Beside the bereaved wife, deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roderick L. MacLEAN and Mrs. Frank VOBORIL and by three sons, William, Lawrence and George, and by four grand-children, Dorothy and Donald MacLEAN, William SWANSON and Margaret VOBORIL. The departed brother was a faithful husband, a loving father, a kind brother, a true friend and a good neighbor. Funeral services were held at the home in Adams on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. J. Raftshol and interment was in the Mount Repose Cemetery.
