Obituary: Adams County, Wisconsin: Alma THOMAS ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Adams County Press, May 30, 1903, Page 4 Column 2 DIED--Mrs. Alma THOMAS Mrs. Alma THOMAS died at her home in Cadot, Wis., May 17, 1903 of nervous prostration, aged 84 years. Her home formerly was in Jackson, Adams county, where her remains were brought and laid to rest in the East Jackson cemetery. Mrs. THOMAS was for many years a devoted member of the Methodist church, and although she was of a very quiet and reserved disposition, she was always ready to defend the cause of her Master. She leaves two sons, three daughters and several grandchildren, with hosts of friends wherever she was known, to mourn her departure, but with their grief they have this comfort, that for her it was far better to depart and to be with Christ.
