Died--October 19th, Mr. Thomas THOMPSON of Quincy, in the 74th year of his
age.

Mr. THOMPSON was one of the pioneers of this county, and was highly
esteemed by all his acquaintances. For twenty years he had been a decided
Christian. The funeral was delayed until the 23rd of this month, so that
distant friends might attend. The services were held at White Creek, and
were conducted by Rev. E. Yocum. The large number present attested the
general esteem the community had for the deceased.
