TROYKE ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Friendship Reporter, Thursday August 7, 1919 Mrs. Alfred TROYKE died at her home in this village last Friday morning, August 1st, following a few days' illness with inflammation of the bowels. Mary A. ROSENBAUM was born in Scherium, Germany, October 3, 1878, and was united in marriage with Alfred TROYKE in December, 1906, and to them were born two sons, Frederick, aged 10, and Alfred, aged 8. They came to this country in 1908, and settled in Chicago, where Mr. TROYKE followed his trade of barber. Some three months ago he came here and purchased the barber business of Marvin GAVINSKI, and moved his family here to reside. During their short residence here the family have made many friends, and in the taking away of the wife and mother, the husband and little sons have the deep sympathy of the whole community in their loss. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Cook of Hancock. The pallbearers were G. C. CRAIG, C. C. BENNETT, Martin GAVINSKI, Stanley RUTKOWSKI, Chas. KREJCHIK and Percy SMITH, interment being in the Mount Repose Cemetery.
