The deceased was born in the kingdom of Bohemia in June, 1820. He came to America in 1873, landing in this country May 16, and settled on a farm near Pilot Knob. Mr. UHER was an exemplary man in all relations of life, as neighbor, husband and father. He was long a devout member of the Roman Catholic church. Mr. UHER left surviving him six children: Mrs. Josephine POLIVKA of Spring Bluff, Mrs. Rosa LYONS and Mrs. Anna VRBA, both of Pilot Knob, Mrs. Katie KARAS of Mauston, Mr. A. J. UHER of Coloma Station and Mr. Jos. MANN, of Friendship, all of Wisconsin.
