Obituary: Adams County, Wisconsin: Nancy Caroline WAITE ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Adams County Press, March 17, 1883, Page 5 Column 3 DIED--WAITE--At her residence in the Town of Jackson, Adams County, Wisconsin, on the 2nd day of March, 1883, in childbed, Mrs. Nancy Caroline WAITE, wife of E. G. WAITE, in the 30th year of her age. Mrs. WAITE leaves a husband and four small children, besides a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her death. She enjoyed remarkable physical health and strength, but slightly impaired until a few days before her death. The qualities of her mind and heart were not inferior to her physical characteristics, and to her superior intellectual powers was added a liberal education, and a wonderful degree of charity, goodwill and kindness, such as endeared her to all who knew her. She died a Christian death. Her sorrowing friends, while mourning their loss, have the sweet consolation of feeling that their loss is her gain, and that her spirit rests in peace. The funeral services were held at the Loomer schoolhouse, in the town of Douglas, Marquette County, Reverend A. J. Pierson of New Chester officiating.
