Obituary: Adams County, Wisconsin: William M. WRIGHT ************************************************************************ Submitted by Joan Benner, May 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ From the Adams County Press, Saturday May 27, 1882, Page 5 Column 4 DIED--WRIGHT--In Friendship, May 24th, of malignant cancer, William M. WRIGHT, aged 63 years and 9 months. Mr. WRIGHT came to Friendship, and settled here in 1858, and ever since that time has been the owner of a house known as Wright's Hotel. His acquaintance throughout the State was quite extensive. He held the position of sheriff for one term. He leaves a widow and five children--two sons and three daughters. The disease of which he died, first made its appearance last summer upon his upper lip, and he went to Chicago and had it removed by a surgical operation. The relief proved brief and the cancer reappeared in a few months, attacking the glands of the throat, and progressing rapidly to the fatal end.
