ZIMMERMAN. Antone lived with his parents in Adams county until he grew to manhood. In 1896 he went to St. James, Minn., where he remained about one and one half years. The following winter he attended dairy school at Minneapolis, Minn., and became a successful buttermaker. He then went to Owatonna, Minn., where he secured a position with the Crown Creamery Association, and had charge of that creamery until the summer of 1902, when he was obliged to give up his work on account of his health. From there he went to Minneapolis, where he remained until the time of his death. He had not been feeling well for a few days and thought he would consult a physician, who at once pronounced his case typhoid fever and advised him to go to the hospital. His case was not considered serious until he was taken with intestinal hemorrhages, from the effects of which he died only three and a half hours later. At the time he entered the hospital he did not consider it necessary to notify his people of his illness, and did not realize his serious condition until taken with hemorrhages. Then a dispatch was sent at once to his people at Adams Center, Wis., but failed to reach them. A dispatch was then sent to a sister in Milwaukee, who notified the people at home. A brother went to Minneapolis immediately, returning Sunday with the body. Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased at Adams Center, at 10 o'clock Monday morning, Dec. 8, 1902. Rev. C. Robinson preached the funeral sermon and hi remains were laid at rest beside his father in the Fordham cemetery. Antone was an honest, bright young man, always ready to lend a helping hand in time of need, and was beloved by all who knew him. He was born in Manitowoc Wisconsin October 21, 1870, and died Dec 4, 1902. He leaves to mourn his loss, a mother, two brothers, four sisters and an adopted brother, beside a large circle of friends. While we cannot know the reason for this great and sudden bereavement, yet we trust in God in sorrow and trouble, knowing "He doeth all things well."
