Amundson, successful general merchant at Wickware, was born on a farm in Maple Grove Township March 30, 1875, son of Lars and Margaret Amundson. He received his education in the district schools and as a young man worked for his father. In 1902 he was appointed postmaster at Wickware Village and opened a general store there, which he now continues. He has been very prosperous and has built up a large trade by his square business methods and pleasing personality. He is interested in public affairs and has done good service as clerk of the School Board for several years.
