He has cleared 25 acres, erected a good set of buildings, and constructed suitable fences. The place is well stocked, and here he carries on general farming and dairying. He is held in good esteem by his fellow men, and has been town treasurer for three years. Mr. Amundson was married to Marin Solie, daughter of Elling and Inger (Halverson) Solie, who spent the span of their years in Norway. This union has resulted in six children: Einar, born May 17, 1899; Mildred S., born March 19, 1902; Alice M., born Nov. 15, 1903; Tasker E., born March 12, 1905; Helga S., born Jan. 14, 1907, and Guy M., born Dec. 5, 1908.
