Bull, for some years engaged in the flour and feed business in Rice Lake, was born in Pennsylvania. He came West in the early days, and located at Menomonie, in Dunn County, this state, where he married Carrie Hoffmeyer, a native of Germany. Then he worked for Knapp, Stout & Co. at that place for several years. In 1885 he came to Rice Lake in the employ of that company as foreman in their planing mill here. He engaged in the flour and feed business in 1888, and so continued for the remainder of his life. He died in February, 1905, and his wife died in 1891. They were the parents of four children: Alfred, John, Florence and Arthur.
