They came to America and located on a farm in Dane County, Wis., were they lived for many years. In 1898 they came to Barron County and settled in Dallas Township, where they successfully farmed until 1916, when they retired and moved to the village of Dallas. Mr. Kessler was a hard working, Godfearing citizen and his death, Aug. 18, 1918, was sincerely mourned. His wife now makes her home in the village of Dallas with her daughter, Elizabeth. Mr. and Mrs. Kessler were the parents of five children: Henry (deceased), Mary (deceased), Elizabeth, Anna and Nicholas (deceased). --Transcribed from: History of Barron Co., Wisconsin, H. C.
