This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Victor Gulickson 29 March 1999 ==================================================================== Casper Rassbach, now deceased, for many years a farmer in Prairie Farm Township, was born in Germany and came to America in 1840. He found his way to Blue Mound, Dane County, Wis., and engaged in farming. Later he took a claim of 160 acres in Prairie Farm Township, this county. The land was only partly cleared. He cleared the remainder, erected good buildings, put up ample fences, and carried on mixed farming, stock raising and dairying for the remainder of his life. He died Dec. 22, 1906. His wife, Mary Harmon, a native of Pennsylvania, died in April, 1915. They were the parents of twelve children: Jerry (deceased), Julia, John, William, Henry (deceased), Anna, Lizzie, Charles, Walter (deceased), Christina (deceased), Helen (deceased) and Lena.
