Rice Lake Chronotype   Rice lake, WI     Wed., May 1, 1974
Harry Virgil Apfel, 67,  a machine operator for Fehr Concrete died Friday at 
the local hospital.   Funeral was held at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church.  
Burial in St. Josephs cemetery in Rice Lake, WI.  Mr. Apfel was born  on Sept. 
16 in Evansville, WI.  He moved to Rice lake with his family as a child.  He is 
survived by his  wife, Martha.    Seven sons survive, Robert of Solon Springs,  
Russell of Green Bay, Jerry of Rice Lake, Duane and Douglas of Waterloo, Iowa, 
Virgil and Johnny of St. Paul, MN., and one daughter, Gloria Van Beek of cedar 
Rrapids, Iowa.    He is further survived by a sister Ruth Richards of 
Janesville, three brothers, Perry of Rice Lake, Alfred of Rhinelander, and 
Clifford of  Cameron,  32 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 

Additional Comments:
Mr. APfels first wife Hazel (Secore) Apfel  and one son, Dale Emmett, 
predeceased him.
