SUBMITTER: Jackie Hufschmid EMAIL: jhufschmid@prodigy.net DATE: Apr 07, 1999 SURNAMES: Anderson Barron Co. newspaper - Sep. 1933 The death of Mrs. Oscar Anderson, Sat., Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. removed one of the communities best known and highly respected citizens and was a shock to everyone. Although she had been failing in health the last couple of years she had not been confined to her bed. Last week she attended the Lutheran Ladies Aid of which she was a charter member. She was also a member of the Golden Rule Circle and of the Church. Lottie Severine Lee was born April 28, 1882 at Plymouth, Juneau county, Wisconsin. On March 22, 1905 where was united in marriage at Elroy to Oscar Anderson, living in the town of Barron 2 years, moving to Chetek for 3 years, and then came to Cameron where she had since resided. She leaves to mourn her husband, 4 children, Orville, Lyle, Maynard and Edna. One brother, Alfred Lee of Rice Lake, 2 sisters, Mrs. Lewis Temte of Elroy and Miss Ida Lee of Cameron. Three children preceded her in death, Gordon and Edith in infancy and Alden, 4 years ago, at the age of 21. Mrs. Anderson was a much beloved wife and mother, good neighbor and loyal friend, and will be sadly missed by a host of relatives and friends. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Lutheran church, with interment in the Pine Grove cemetery, Rev. B. B. Ostrem officiating. Barron Co., newspapers - Aug. 1966 Funeral services for Oscar E. Anderson, 87, of the town of Stanley were held Wed. afternoon at Faith Lutheran church in Cameron, with Rev. Arnold Vocke conducting the services. Burial in Pine Grove cemetery. He died Sunday at a local hospital after a 6 week illness. Mr. Anderson was born in the town of Stanley April 7, 1879. He married Lottie Lee in Elroy in 1905, and they had lived in the town of Stanley since. He was a charter member of Faith Lutheran church, a chairman of the town of Stanley, and county board supervisor for 26 years. Survivors are three sons, Orville and Lyle of Cameron and Maynard of Frederic; one daughter, Mars. Edna Sullivan of Cameron; two brothers, Martin of Richmond, Calif., and Andrew of Eau Claire; one sister, Mrs. Edna Avery of Cameron; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His wife, two sons, and one daughter preceded him in death. Relatives who came from away to attend the funeral of Oscar last Wed. were Mr. And Mrs. Dell Temte and Beth of Minneapolis, Mr. And Mrs. Arnold Temte and 4 children of La Crosse. Mr. And Mrs. Arnold Olson and Gail and Fern of Ettick, Mr. And Mrs. Ronald Johnson or Blain, Mrs. Helen Temte of Ettrick, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lee of Union Grove, Mr. And Mrs. G. C.
