Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Ethel (Chausse) Amans in Wed, Apr 24, 1929 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Mrs. Frank Amans Ethel Meroah Chausse was born in Shelby county, Ia., Jan 4, 1882, and passed away April 20, 1929, at the Floan station farm, where she and her husband had moved only a month ago after operating the former Webster farm nearby. She spent her early life in Iowa and in 1912 moved to Montana, where she was united in marriage to Frank Amans in 1916. They later came to Wisconsin and only recently moved to the Floan station farm. Mrs. Amans was held in high regard by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mary; her mother, Mrs. Mertie Ellery of Billings, Mont.; a brother, W.J. Chausee of Garden City, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Potter of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Elmer Gaynor of Springbrook, Wis., and two half brothers at Baker, Mont. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in this city Monday, the Rev. J.W. Birchall officiating, and interment took place at Nora cemetery.
