Amans in Wed., July 2, 1952 Rice Lake Chrontoype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) George F. Amans Funeral services for George F. Amans, 68, of Mikana were held at the Hyllengren funeral home Saturday with Father Cyril Sirek officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery in Birchwood. Mr. Amans died June 26 at a local hospital of multiple sclerosis after a one year illness. Born at Campia Nov. 9, 1883, Mr. Amans was a lifelong resident of this vicinity. On Dec. 4, 1906, he was married to Martha Olson at Cumberland. She died Jan. 5, 1938. They had made their home near Angus for 22 years. On Aug. 23, 1941, he was married to Irene King who survives. Mr. Amans farmed and was also assessor for the town of Birchwood for 22 years. Also surviving are five children, Mrs. Joe (Myrtle) Parkos of Algoma, Wis., Lloyd of Deer River, Minn., Myren and Charles at home and Mrs. Richard (Jeannette) Kloepfer of Chicago; three stepchildren, DeWayne King of Portland, Ore., Jerry King of Tacoma, Wash., and Larry King at home. Other survivors are three brothers, three sisters, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Plain, Carl Plain, Joe Kringle, Carl Jones, Carl Hansen and William Funk.
