Submitted by: Kent Robarge 10 December 2007 **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary of Irene (Ewen) Amans in Wed., Jan. 20, 1971 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Mrs. Amans, 68, Lifelong Mikana Resident, Buried Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Campia for Mrs. Irene Amans, 68, a lifelong resident of the Mikana area, who died Friday morning at Lakeside hospital after a brief illness. Rev. David Johnson officiated and burial was made in Cedar Lake cemetery. Mrs. Amans was born Nov. 14, 1902 in Barron county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ewen. She is survived by four sons, DeWayne King of Veronia, Oreg., Miles King of Tacoma, Wash., Larry King of Brooklyn Center, Minn. and Charles Amans of Mikana, and eight grandchildren. There are also two step-sons, Lloyd Amans of Middleton, Myron Amans of Rice Lake; two step-daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Parkos of Algoma and Mrs. Jeanette Kloepger of Chicago; and two sisters, Mrs. Halvor Halvorson of St. Paul and Mrs. Henry Ertel of Michigan.
