Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Marie (Demers) Amans in Wed, Mar 7, 1928 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Mrs. Andrew Amans Marie Demers, daughter of John Demers, Sr., was born in St. Nichols, Canada, April 12, 1857, and died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1928. She came here with her father and his family about 58 years ago, settling on the homestead east of Rice Lake. She was married 54 years ago next July to Andrew Amans. They lived on the farm until about 40 years ago, when they retired and moved to the city. The survivors are an only child, Mrs. Fred Burton, 11 Ann street, two grandchildren, Raymond and Luverne Burton of Rice Lake, and two great grandchildren. The funeral took place Friday morning at St. Joseph's church with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery.
