Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Martha (Olson) Amans in Wed, Jan 12, 1938 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Mrs. George Amans Mrs. George Amans, 52, Angus, passed away at a local hospital last Wednesday evening after a long illness. Funeral services were held at the home in Angus at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by services in the Birchwood Methodist church with the Rev. H.G. Engum officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery, Birchwood. Mrs. Amans, as Miss Martha Olson, was born Dec. 4, 1885 in Prairie Farm, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mangus Olson. She was married Dec. 4, 1905 at Cumberland to George Amans of Campia. The couple have lived in this county since then. Mrs. Amans is survived by her husband, four children, Mrs. Joe (Myrtle) Parks of Birchwood, Lloyd of St. Nazianz, Myron and Jeanette at home; seven grandchildren and four brothers, Albert, Olaf and Leonard of Birchwood, Alvin of Grandview and two sisters, Mrs. A.O. (Anna) Johnson, Angus, and Mrs. L. (Ida) Ynstad, Carlton, Minn. Two children died in infancy. G. L. Lyle had charge of funeral arrangements.
