Submitted by: Kent Robarge 28 September 2003 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Napoleon Amans in March 18, 1981 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Napoleon Amans Buried Saturday Funeral services were held Saturday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Rice Lake for Napoleon Amans, 88, who died March 11 at the Lakeview medical center. Rev. John Spanjers officiated and burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery with military rites at the grave by the Rice Lake American Legion. Mr. Amans, a lifelong resident of Rice Lake, was born Dec. 14, 1892, and was married at Dobie in 1917 to the former Claire Neau. He was a veteran of army service in World War I, and had retired to the city in 1959, after farming in the Campia area. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Lois Hensel of Rice Lake, Beulah Olbrych of Fall Brook, Calif., Lorraine Doyle of Augusta, Ga., Barbara Alcorn of Denver, and Shannon Baumberger of Evansville, and four sons, Lee of Houston, Texas, Louie of Nashville, Tenn., Bill of Alexandria, Va., and Dick of Geneseo, Ill.
